I got a hold of uncharted 3 last week. I had been holding off on buying it until christmas but seeing as it kinda is christmas now ‘ish, well, it was friday at least!
Anyhooo, as everyone knows im a big fan of U2 and for good reason. The cinematics, story, beautiful environments (please put in a tourist mode for gods sake) and mixed gameplay were top notch and the best i had seen on the PS3. Having read and watched every review about U3 preceeding my purchase i knew to expect an equally bleedin edge cinematic, story, environment design and mixed gameplay experience. So, why then do i feel slightly dissappointed? Why then does, in many reviews, does it get a 9.0 rating as apposed to a 9.5 rating if everything is as good as before?
The answer? Well, its just that. Because everything is AS GOOD as before but NOT BETTER and having been blown away with U2, expectations were raised. With U3 there is no progression, shock, surprise, wonder factor the second time around. That is not to take away from the fact that it still is an awesome game, it is, go buy it… NOW! its just that, like many things in life, the FIRST time is always the best!
